Cucumber is a fruit (and not a vegetable!) that is healthy and refreshing, rich in minerals and vitamins, to be consumed without moderation.
Cucumber plants appreciate a warm, sunny location. The soil should be rich, deep and fresh, not too wet and slightly acidic. The soil must be well loosened, without stones or roots. You can place a handful of compost in each hole.
A cucumber plant needs space! If you want it to develop well and production to be abundant, allow 1 m between each row and at least 60 to 80 cm between each plant.
For vertical gardening, this spacing can be reduced.
Watering must be regular and moderate: it is better to water a little every day. The soil should remain moist but not soggy. Take care not to wet the leaves, otherwise you risk seeing diseases develop quickly.
As with all vegetable garden crops, hoe and weed between the plants!
Depending on the growing conditions (sunshine, variety, watering, etc.), a cucumber plant can produce 12 to 15 fruits, or even 20!
