The hot pepper is a dense plant measuring between 30 cm and 1.50 m depending on the species. It has thick stems with oval, pointed-tipped leaves and forms cupped white, purple, green or orange flowers. The fruits we eat are small, hollow and filled with seeds. Their color varies depending on the variety.
Hot pepper requires heat and sun. For the soil, it needs a well-drained and rich substrate. Water regularly so that the soil stays cool.
It is advisable to remove the first fruit to encourage the plant to branch. To help the peppers ripen, cut the ends of the stems, one leaf above the last fruit. You can use nettle manure which will enrich the substrate and prevent diseases.
